The Abair Project at Trinity College, Dublin is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. - Health diagnoses: If you choose to enter health diagnoses in the app, we will collect this information.
- Button usage: We will collect information about which buttons you press and the contents of those buttons in the app.
- Irish synthesizer usage: We will collect information about how you use the Irish synthesizer in the app.
Use of Information:
We use the information we collect about you to:
- Provide the Geabaire app and its features to you.
- Improve the app and develop new features.
- Analyze usage of the app and understand how users interact with it.
- Perform research activities with respect to Irish language use by AAC users.
Sharing of Information:
In order to provide the service, we may share certain information with service providers that assist us in providing the Geabaire app and its features to you. These service providers are:
- Cloudflare: We use Cloudflare to protect the Geabaire app from malicious activity and to improve the app's performance.
- Supabase: We use Supabase to store and manage the data collected through the Geabaire app.
- Sentry: We use Sentry to monitor and troubleshoot issues with the Geabaire app.
We limit data sharing with these service providers to what is necessary to provide the server, under no circumstances do we transmit your personal data for the purposes of tracking, or marketing. We may also share your information as required by law, or in response to a request from law enforcement or other government authorities.
Consent:
By using the Geabaire app, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in this privacy policy. If you do not agree to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in this policy, you should not use the Geabaire app and inform of us your withdrawal of consent as per your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR.)
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the contact details outlined below or by deleting your account in the account portal.
